\"PatPaintParis1-210\"<\/a>Hi and welcome to the Pauseworks Studio. Here\u2019s the scoop\u00a0on your artist and host. That would be me, Patricia Katz.<\/p>\n

I consider myself to be\u00a0an Appreciative Adventurer – searching for\u00a0joy and beauty everywhere I am and everywhere I go.<\/p>\n

In art, as in life, I am drawn to express the up side, the sunny side, the inspiring message that life is good.<\/p>\n

I hope others feel encouraged and heartened for having been in my presence and in the company of my work.<\/p>\n

\"PatCandleightInnPainting\"<\/a>With pen or brush in hand, with paints and paper in front of me, I am easily captivated by the moment and just plain happy!<\/p>\n

Splash and squiggle is how I work. Ink and watercolor is where I live. Bright light and lyrical lines lift my spirits and make me smile. My best work appears when I’m able to hold a lighthearted, playful spirit.<\/p>\n

\"Pat<\/a>I have taken several watercolor classes from Canadian artist, Cecelia Jurgens, and traveled with her on three painting trips visiting the Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Morocco.<\/p>\n

I’ve also studied with other artists including: Charles Reid, Judi Whitton, John Lovett, Karlyn Holman, Brian Atyeo, Barry Coombs, Anne McElroy, and Alison Montgomery.<\/p>\n

I live and work from my home in western Canada (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan). I travel a great deal for both work and pleasure.<\/p>\n

\"Pat-Cotswolds-w210\"<\/a>I always pack a sketchbook and paintbox in my bag everywhere I go, keeping my eye peeled for sights to capture along the way. It has changed the way I look at the world.<\/p>\n

Forty of my artworks have been published in a book titled Sketches of Saskatoon<\/a>. It delivers a colorful stroll through the streets of the city I call home. You can learn more at: www.sketchesofsaskatoon.com<\/p>\n

\"Styacko<\/a>My paintings and WC sketches can be found in private collections around the globe: France, England, Saudia Arabia, the USA (Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia), and Canada (Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan).<\/p>\n
