We\u2019re less than a week away from the opening of our Artists\u2019 Workshop 2022 Spring Show & Sale.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a fun adventure sorting through my work from the last three years and deciding what I will be presenting in the show.<\/p>\n

Amazingly, I\u2019m feeling pretty much ready for the big event.<\/p>\n

Maybe that\u2019s a result of having had the last three years to be preparing for it.<\/p>\n

Rural Roots<\/p><\/div>\n

If I had to choose one word to describe the work I\u2019ll be presenting it would be \u2018varied.<\/p>\n

All of the work is watercolor \u2013 nothing has changed there.<\/p>\n

Some is watercolor with pen and some without.<\/p>\n

Ravello Terra Cotta Planters<\/p><\/div>\n

Some works are on paper and others on canvas.\u00a0Some are matted and framed under glass; others are presented on stretched canvas with a varnish finish or mounted on cradleboard with a waxed finish.<\/p>\n

The inspirations are wide ranging, too.<\/p>\n

There aren\u2019t quite so many streetscapes as in the past \u2013 given that my travel wings have been clipped.<\/p>\n

There are a few landscapes, a few rural scenes, quite a few florals, and a large number of still life pieces.<\/p>\n

The sizes range from 6 x 6\u201d up to 29 x 22\u201d (which is pretty darn big for me).<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve got over 40 pieces in this year\u2019s collection. \u00a0Just a few of them are featured here.<\/p>\n

Duplex For Rent<\/p><\/div>\n

My eight colleagues in the AW group have all been enthusiastically creating art as well.<\/p>\n

There will be plenty of work to enjoy and make your own.<\/p>\n

So you don\u2019t have to go digging for them, here are the show details again.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event will be hosted at Grace Westminster Church Auditorium (505 10th Street E here in Saskatoon) on these dates at these times:<\/p>\n
