\"\"<\/a>In just one week, our Artists\u2019 Workshop group will throw open the doors and share an enthusiastic welcome to our Spring Show & Sale<\/strong>. \u00a0This is your personal invitation to join us to enjoy all of the brand-new original works we\u2019ve been creating.<\/p>\n

The event will be held at Grace Westminster Church (505 10th<\/sup> St E in Saskatoon) on Friday, April 26 (5-9), Saturday, April 27 (10-5) and Sunday, April 28 (11-4).<\/p>\n

\u2018Creative Synergy<\/strong>\u2019 is our theme for 2024. We celebrate the many ways that creating together improve our art and enhance our connections with community.<\/p>\n

Unique to this year\u2019s show<\/strong> will be a set of ten 12×12 works on canvas featuring our very different takes on life in Saskatoon. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>We have a few new members<\/strong> in our group this year as well as familiar favorites<\/strong>. You\u2019ll find original works created by: Celeste Dumonceaux Delahey, Jean Dudley, Kathleen Slavin, Anne Simmie, Val Miles, Wendy McLeod, Paige Mortenson, Sharron Schoenfeld, Leslie Stadnichuk, and me.<\/p>\n

We create in a variety of media<\/strong>: oil, watercolor, mixed media, ink and watercolor, pastels, and watercolor batik.<\/p>\n

To whet your appetite for the show, here\u2019s a sampler featuring one image from each of our member artists.<\/p>\n

I keep on experimenting as I continue to paint in watercolor \u2013 with and without ink \u2013 on paper and canvas. This year\u2019s work reflects some of my adventures in learning.<\/p>\n

Walking Each Other Home<\/p><\/div>\n

I\u2019ll be presenting work under several different themes:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Travel Sketches<\/li>\n
  • Figurative Characters<\/li>\n
  • Still Life\/Abstractions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Half of my works are presented in the traditional way \u2013 matted, and framed under glass – and several were painted on canvas.<\/p>\n

    The rest of the works I\u2019ll be showing were created on watercolor paper but are mounted on gallery cradle board with a varnish and wax finish \u2013 no glass required.<\/p>\n
