\"Painting<\/a>As I look in the rear view mirror, it\u2019s just a week ago that we welcomed guests to the tenth annual Mudslinger\u2019s Garden Gallery in the Saskatoon gardens of Dale and Betty Gibbon and their next door neighbours, Janet and Ross.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For the most part, the weatherman cooperated with sunny skies. Only a brief sprinkle of rain mid afternoon had us rushing to get the paintings under cover.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Thanks to the Mudslingers for welcoming me as a Guest Artist and making my paintings part of your event.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"Wall<\/a>I posted a number of my paintings in the lead up to the Gallery. So many of you will have seen them.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I want to share here a few photos of some of the clay and glass works that were also on display.\u00a0There were engaging\u00a0wall works by Roxanne Enns with their elegant long shapes and intertwining swirling patterns.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"Platter<\/a>There were platters and bowls and mugs by Paula Cooley, with their finely\u00a0scribed patterns and strong colors.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"Feather<\/a>There were delicate vases by Lorraine Sutter with her signature feather and horsehair patterns tracing the surfaces of each piece.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"Glasswork<\/a>There were brightly colored glass works by Betty Gibbon.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There were whimsical clay and glass pieces by Diane Koshgarian, and bold sculptures by fellow Guest Artist, Les Potter. (Sorry no pictures of those to share).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"Urn<\/a>There was a beautifully shaped urn by Ken Wilkinson featuring intricate lace work to hold the top in place.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We really appreciate the friends, fellow artists, family members, and patrons who took the time to add a Garden Gallery visit to their day.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"Painting<\/a>A highlight of the day for me was spending a half hour painting and chatting with young Tanaya while her Mom browsed the wares on offer.<\/p>\n

There’s no hesitation in the brushes of young artists. They\u00a0pick up the paint and let it fly. We could all learn something from those\u00a0courageous beginners’ minds.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
