With the opening of a second day, there may be some individuals who shift to the Thursday, freeing up a few spaces in the Friday session.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PS2<\/strong> \u2013 In case you missed the initial description of the workshop, you\u2019ll find it below.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Splash &amp; Squiggle Ink &amp; Watercolor Workshop<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you want to learn more about painting lively, light-hearted, colorful ink and watercolor sketches, this workshop is for you.\u00a0 Instructor, Patricia Katz, will share a sampling of the techniques she uses to create her whimsical, colorful vignettes of the world.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll be treated to a series of \u2018See &amp; Try\u2019 experiences \u2013 brief demos followed by hands on experiments. There will be no pressure to create a grand masterpiece \u2013 just an invitation to explore and enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>You will learn more about:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Using continuous line contour drawings to loosen up and warm up<\/li>\n<li>Cultivating the art of noticing as a way to breathe more life into your images<\/li>\n<li>Creating dynamic lines and taking a creep \u2018n\u2019 crawl approach to composition<\/li>\n<li>Playing with an Elegant Writer to produce fun and easy images<\/li>\n<li>Mixing and applying watercolors in ways that keep them fresh and lively (using place \u2018n\u2019 pull and toss \u2018n\u2019 tease techniques)<\/li>\n<li>Combining watercolor splashes with ink lines \u2013 for contrast and emphasis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Morning instruction will be held in the classroom and (weather permitting) the afternoon session will take place en plein air (in the great outdoors).<\/p>\n<p>Instructional Level: Some prior experience with watercolors will be an asset, but is not essential.
