\"\"<\/a>After so many years of working and painting solo, I decided to take a leap and try something different. Earlier this fall I joined the Artists\u2019 Workshop group, and I\u2019ll be working and showing with them for the 2018-19 fall and winter season.<\/p>\n

The other twelve members of the group have made me feel very welcome. It\u2019s been a treat to spend my Mondays painting at what I refer to as \u2018Studio 2\u2019.<\/p>\n

The group itself has been in existence for 27 years \u2013 although various members have come and gone over the years. Each Monday finds the artists hard at work in the hall at Saskatoon\u2019s Grace Westminster Church. Members develop and bring their own projects to work on. However, there is rich informal exchange of ideas and information about techniques, resources, and marketing during each of the weekly sessions.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Many of the artists exhibit their work individually or collectively in other venues. And, one of the things that I so appreciate is how enthusiastic these folks are about actively supporting each other\u2019s efforts both within and beyond the group.<\/p>\n

The Artists\u2019 Workshop holds two annual events. A one day Open Studio event is held in November, where the public is invited to chat with the artists in action while browsing and purchasing work on offer. This year\u2019s event will take place on Monday, November 26.<\/p>\n

Each painting year culminates in a windup known as the Annual Spring Show and Sale held for three days in April. In 2019, the event will take place from April 12 through 14.<\/p>\n

Members of the group demonstrate a high caliber of artistic expression, and work in a wide variety of mediums.<\/p>\n
