What’s a garden show, without a few flowers? I’ll be bringing several floral sketches when I join the Mudslingers as a guest artist at their upcoming annual Garden Gallery.
You and others who love art and gardens are most cordially invited to this year’s event which takes place on Thursday, August 18th between noon and 7:00 pm.
You’ll find the Garden Gallery at 2422 Clarence Ave South here in Saskatoon.
The flower beds and lawns will play host to original clay and glass works by these fine artists: Betty Gibbon, Ken Wilkinson, Paula Cooley, Diane Koshgarian, Lorraine Sutter, and Roxanne Enns.
Fellow guest artist, Les Potter, will be showing his sculptures as well.
And, of course, my original watercolor paintings will be joining all their fine works in the gardens.
I’ve posted four sets of previews – samplings of some of the paintings you will find on offer from the Pauseworks Studio at the Garden Gallery. This is the final preview of paintings from the Pauseworks Studio: Floral Charms.
- Preview #1 featured images ‘Inspired by France’
- Preview #2 featured images of ‘Trees & Fields’
- Preview #3 featured ‘From My Travels’
These watercolors are matted, framed, and ready to hang in your home or office or to share as a gift with someone special.
The images that you see threaded throughout this message are sketches that were inspired by flowers I’ve enjoyed in my own garden and our home.
I hope you are able to join us on Thursday to see these beauties – and the fine works of my fellow artists – in person. The show and sale will take place – rain or shine.
Feel free to share this invitation with others you think would be interested in the event. The more the merrier!

I’m excited. There are just ten more sleeps until the 2016 edition of the Mudslingers Garden Gallery. And YOU and your friends are invited!
This year’s event will be held on Thursday, August 18th from Noon to 7 pm in the beautiful gardens at 2422 Clarence Avenue S here in Saskatoon.
The Backstory: Ten years ago, we opened our garden on O’Brien to host a fine group of artisans known as the Mudslingers in presenting their very first Garden Gallery. The idea was to display fine art and crafts – mostly pottery – in a natural setting, with the greens of the garden providing the backdrop.
The show and sale was a great success, and the group has continued this annual tradition of staging an outdoor show. I’ve taken part as a guest artist in the past and will be doing so again this year.
The Artisans & Artists: You’ll find pottery and glass works by Betty Gibbon, Paula Cooley, Ken Wilkinson, Dian Koshgarian, Lorraine Sutter and Roxanne Enns, as well as a selection of my watercolor paintings. Fellow guest artist, Les Potter, will also be presenting his abstract sculptures.

The event takes place – rain or shine. We are of course, hoping for sunny weather – and we’re also hoping that you will drop by and join us for the show. Spread the word – and spread the sunshine, too!
