Moraine Lake is #23 in my Glimmers of Hope Art Series.
The dramatic shoreline edging distant mountains coupled with the blue-green waters make this one of my favorite places in the Rockies.
5″ x 5″ original watercolor on paper. Mounted on 6″ x 6″ mat board.
Price: $50 (plus $5 to cover tax & postage). The painting will go to the first person to express their interest in purchasing via email to: pat@patkatz.com.
Glimmer of Hope: the belief that there is a slight chance that something positive will happen.
Backstory: This pandemic of 2020 has put a huge dint in our lives – restricting our ability to gather, to travel, and to feel safe and at ease in the world.
I look forward to a time when once again we will feel free to roam and engage with confidence. Until then, it seems we’re destined to gaze longingly through our respective windows on the world, sustained by patience and hope.
To help us get through this final month of what seems like a very long year, I’ve created 31 original paintings in a series called, Glimmers of Hope.

Heading Home is #22 in my Glimmers of Hope Art Series.
This Christmas, that’s just what many of us wish we – or members of our families – could be doing. The pandemic has other plans for us this year; but we can still remember trips from earlier times and seasons of our lives.
5″ x 5″ original watercolor on paper. Mounted on 6″ x 6″ mat board.
Price: $50 (plus $5 to cover tax & postage). The painting will go to the first person to express their interest in purchasing via email to: pat@patkatz.com.

Traversing Paris is #21 in my Glimmers of Hope Art Series.
With so many beautiful sights in Paris, it’s hard to choose one image to represent the City of Light. I picked the Metro.
It will take you any place you want to go and its vintage signs are works of arts.
This one marks the Franklin D. Roosevelt station at the intersection of Lines 1 and 9 in the 8th arrondissement.
5″ x 5″ original watercolor on paper. Mounted on 6″ x 6″ mat board.
Price: $50 (plus $5 to cover tax & postage). The painting will go to the first person to express their interest in purchasing via email to: pat@patkatz.com.

Venetian Charm is #19 in my Glimmers of Hope Art Series.
The canals of Amsterdam, Stockholm and St Petersburgh may vie for attention, but there truly is no place in the world like Venice itself.
Beautiful buildings, winding waterways, and handsome gondoliers.

Spruced Up is #17 in my Glimmers of Hope Art Series.
There’s something elemental about conifers and the aroma of spruce, pine and fir.
They embody connection – trunks rooted in the ground and limbs open to the world.
5″ x 5″ original watercolor on paper. Mounted on 6″ x 6″ mat board.
Price: $50 (plus $5 to cover tax & postage). The painting will go to the first person to express their interest in purchasing via email to: pat@patkatz.com.

Colorful homes exist in many places in the world – from St John’s, Canada to the Cinque Terre and Burano in Italy, to Willemstad in Curacao, to Villajoyosa, Spain. This particular image is inspired by Porto in Portugal.
