Welcome to my Virtual Café Series Art Show & Sale – Part II.
The Café Series of images celebrates those moments of connection spent savoring a cup of tea or coffee – perhaps with a sweet treat, a pen and journal, or something of beauty for company.
Sometimes we’re solo – connecting with ourselves and reflecting on our thoughts. Other times (pandemic aside) we’re enjoying the company of others. Both ways count as life’s sweet pleasures.
May these paintings trigger sweet memories of connection in your world.
My plan was to introduce this second set of paintings in the Café Series at our 2021 Artists’ Workshop Spring Show. However, with the pandemic cancellation of our show for the second year in a row, that was not possible. Instead, I’m presenting this limited set of all new images this weekend in the form of another virtual online gallery. Here’s what you need to know.
Each of the nine images was painted with watercolor on a stretched 10 x 10 canvas. They’ve been sealed with a spray varnish so there’s no need to protect them under glass. They are fitted with hanging wire and ready to mount on your wall – no framing required.
Each painting is priced at $300 (all taxes and distanced doorstep delivery within Saskatoon included). For buyers beyond the city, additional shipping will be billed at cost.
The images are officially available for purchase from now (April 29) through the weekend until the end of day, Sunday, May 2. To request a painting, contact me in one of two ways including your full name, address, phone number, preferred form of payment and your first and/or second choice of painting:
- Via email at pat@patkatzart.com
- Or via phone at 306 934 1807
Offers to purchase will be accepted in the order in which they are received. Payment can be made by e-transfer or credit card.
Saskatoon deliveries will take place during the week of May 3rd. At this point, I’m planning to do a round of deliveries on the evening of May 5, but am entirely flexible about other dates and times.
Read on to see a larger image of each painting, a short description, and its number in the series. In the 3×3 grid above, the paintings are numbered in order from left to right, top to bottom. (As in #1 is top left and #9 is bottom right)
I hope you enjoy exploring the Café Series, and that these paintings will find their new forever homes. Perhaps one will come to live with you.
*******
#1 – Teacup & Tulips – This painting was inspired by a bouquet of spring tulips sitting on our kitchen counter. They called for a cup of tea. I answered that call.
*******
#2 – Tall Houses & Tea – Souvenirs from our visit to Estonia on our Baltic cruise. Three ‘tall houses’ and my favorite morning mug – all hand painted ceramics from Tallinn.
*******
#3 – Croissants & Coffee – An espresso, a cappuccino, and two almond croissants. Ingredients for a slow and easy start to a Saturday morning.
*******
#4 – Fudge In The Garden – SOLD – Yes, it is possible to turn three cubes of candy and a cup of coffee into a special occasion. Here’s proof!
*******
#5 – Cappuccino & Cookies – Something to sip, something to nibble, and somewhere to make a note. Savoring the look of the coffee art and the feel of the suede cover on the journal.
*******
#6 – Bird With Buddies – SOLD – It was fun to partner this beautiful Bird of Paradise with a favorite KG Wilkinson mug and a unique brass keepsake from Turkey. They play well together!
*******
#7 – Glowing Chinese Lanterns – The brilliant seed pods of the Chinese Lantern pop against the bright blue of their vase, giving you plenty to admire while you sip your fav hot beverage.
*******
#8 – Tea By The Trellis – There is no limit to variety when it comes to teapots and cups. The blue-greys of this set play well against the ivy on the trellis.
*******
#9 – Journals & Java – ‘Write it down’ my Dad used to say. I learned that lesson well. Notebooks are a fine place to jot down ideas, plans and memories. Write on, my friends – and enjoy your coffee while you do.
